Overview
Sela Vael is the youngest of the Accord's enforcers, and the only one whose certainty has begun, very privately, to fray.
She entered the Inquisition believing she was guarding the realm; she has stayed long enough to notice how often the people she silences are simply the people who remember. She has not yet done anything with that observation. But she has started to keep it — and in an order founded on forgetting, a kept thought is the first small act of treason.
