Identity & Story

The essence, fate, and whispers remembered by the Record.

Overview

Siroth is the most powerful man in two worlds, and he did not inherit that power — he engineered it. Chancellor of the Accord, architect of the Ordinatum, he rose from the ranks of the old Concordium by grasping a truth his rivals were too proud to accept: that whoever controls memory controls everything.

He does not rage. He does not gloat. He governs the way a glacier moves — slowly, coldly, certain the landscape will yield. Where others see history, Siroth sees a document still open for editing. Names can be erased. Truths can be rewritten. The past, in his hands, is just another instrument of rule.

For thirteen years he has governed in the certainty that he won the only war that ever mattered. He was wrong. And the first faint sign of how wrong — a boy's face, glimpsed where no face should be — will begin to unmake that certainty, one cold realization at a time.

He is not a monster in the story he tells himself. That is precisely what makes him one.
